Volunteers Needed
Health Center Greeter
Do you like meeting new people? Enjoy helping others? Are you able to give two hours of your time on a weekend? Sign up to be a Cornwall Manor Society Greeter at the Health Center!
Volunteers are needed to greet and give directions to visitors coming to the Health Center on Saturdays and Sundays. Two volunteers will share a shift, for three 2-hour shifts from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Volunteer training sessions will be held to cover everything you will need to know for this easy and fun opportunity!
Please contact Phyllis Rohland at 273-3676 if you are interested in learning more or signing up to be a greeter.
Buddy Each Event Safely (BEES) program
BEES transporters escort residents in the Health Center to campus activities such as musical programs, plays, picnics or other fun activities. These events are a very important part of residents' lives and the conversation and positive attitude provided by the BEES makes this program even more special.
Interested individuals should keep in mind that some residents may be in a wheel chair and would require you to navigate the chair and push up to 150 pounds.
Volunteers in this program are contacted monthly to determine the activities they wish to attend.
Do you know that volunteer opportunities at Cornwall Manor are endless?
An activity you love can be shared with others and can make a huge difference in someone else's life. You can choose from a list of established volunteer activities you want to be involved in or you can discuss the possibility of creating your own activity.
If you would like to learn more or discuss volunteer opportunities, contact Kathleen Hetrick, Executive Assistant to the President, at 717.273.2647 extension 8295.
