Tradition of Giving

Senior Community GiftsFrom its very beginning in 1949, when local business leaders and church members purchased the 85-acre property from the estate of Mrs. Margaret Coleman Freeman Buckingham, Cornwall Manor has benefited from the generosity of individuals and groups who support our retirement community's mission of providing the highest quality housing and services for seniors and benevolent care for residents who need financial assistance.

Why Is My Gift Important?
Cornwall Manor's revenue comes from three sources: resident fees, interest and endowment income, and contributions. Over the past decade, Cornwall Manor's benevolent care expense totals more than $12 million. It is the goal of the Board of Trustees to one day fully fund the annual benevolent care need for residents from the Endowment Fund interest. Your gift will help to ensure peace of mind for the residents of Cornwall Manor today, and for many years to come.

What Type of Gift Is Best for Me and for Cornwall Manor?
Gifts come in many forms, including outright gifts, securities, bequests, and income-producing gifts such as charitable trusts and charitable gift annuities.

We've made giving easy and safe with our secure online giving form.
Visit Ways to Give for more information about the types of gifts you can make.

Can I Designate My Gift?
Yes, you can designate a specific use for your gift, including the Endowment Fund for Benevolent Care, general benevolent care, the Future Fund Campaign, capital items, or a use such as the "Honor Book Program" for Cornwall Manor's Gateway Library, the Ralph L. Weik Memorial Scholarship Fund, or the Cornwall Manor Society which uses their funds for Health Center equipment and benevolent care.

All gifts can also be made in memory or honor of a loved one.
